Twilight? What On Neptune Is Twilight???

I was looking at the Film News section of the Entertainment page on RTE's website.

Of fifteen articles, eight appeared to be related to the activities or otherwise of the cast of the movie "Twilight".

None of whom I've ever heard...

Are people really that interested?

Yeah, there's been a massive promotional drive about the Twilight Saga over the past few weeks. It's basically the new Harry Potter. I've been thinking of blogging about the insanity of it.

I mean, having read Samuraifrog's series "Twilight Summarised By A Smartass" I'm convinced it is not one of the literary classics of our time and that Jane Austen has nothing to fear in terms of being culturally overshadowed.

And the new Harry Potter? Dear gods, surely not...

Unless you're female teenage superhero you can pass Twilight and head straight to Avatar...
